According to a report on Citizen TV, at least 9 construction workers have been declared dead in Kenya following a crane accident that occurred on Thursday around midday at Nairobi.
One of the police officers on the accident scene Muturi Mbogo said the accident left other two workers seriously injured. The cause of the collapsed crane is yet to be determined.
He also noted that the construction work is being supervised by a Chinese company that lost two of its managers on the spot.
According to Officer Mbogo, the workers were dismantling the crane in a 14 story building, a hostel meant for students in the Capital City, Nairobi.
The bodies of the nine workers have been deposed in the mortuary while their family members have been notified.
