Cameroon military announces victory over Boko Haram Tuesday attack in far north

Cameroon Ministry of Defense has announced that the military succeeded in inflicting heavy casualties on the Boko Haram terrorist group who attacked a village in the Far North Region of the country on 26th April 2021.


According to the information made known to the public today, Thursday 29th April 2021, the military confiscated weapons and logistics from Boko Haram fighters who escaped following the gun battle that erupted between the Cameroon military and the fighters.

The attack took place in Wuglo village,  near Fotokol sharing a border with Nigeria. The spokesman of the Cameroon military, Captain Cyril Serge Atonfack, said the terrorists came in from  Nigeria.


The statement released by the spokesman of Cameroon’s military also revealed that the Joint Multinational Taskforce helped the Cameroonian military to push back Boko Haram attacks.

Cyril Atonfack Serge also revealed that no soldier was killed or wounded during the attack and that only the enemy suffered.

Boko Haram is a terrorist group that started in Nigeria to stop western education from being taught in the Northern parts of Nigeria. The fighters also wanted to Institute Sharia laws in the North of Nigeria.

They have carried out numerous crimes, including crimes against humanity such as kidnappings, killings, torture, amongst others.


They quickly spread their fight into Northern Cameroon when the president of Cameroon, Paul Biya, announced support to the Nigerian military and when Biya declared war on them in Nigeria.

Their presence in the Northern parts of Cameroon has put the civilians in hardship and caused a humanitarian crisis in the Northern parts of Cameroon.
